In this paper, we will study the effects of intergenerational racial trauma of the offspring Holocaust survivors and Atlantic Slave Trade survivors. The effects of Post Traumatic Stress and Racial trauma have many similarities and have recently been identified as having many transgenerational effects. Epigenetic changes in the germline currently known to be associated with traumatic stress, and possible mechanisms for their induction and maintenance during development and adulthood.” These effects “can be transmitted to subsequent generations even when individuals from these generations are not directly exposed to any traumatic stressor.
